MORE VEGETABLES!
AVillage, Trinity Alliance, and the Radix Center are looking to build a group of interested people to help us beautify and maintain the 7 gardens we collectively manage. We are actively engaged in addressing the many issues around hunger, health, and sustainability in the South End of Albany, which is officially labeled as a “food desert.” We will be holding many group work days, and are also looking for motivated volunteers to help out on other days. The gardens have various educational and community food access uses – all of them are awesome.
If you are interested in joining up – please send an email to stacy@radixcenter.org with the following information:
- Hours/week or month you are willing to help out
- Availability – days & times
- Gardening experience/knowledge level
- Level of physical contribution
- Carpentry skills? Tools? (Arbors and raised beds – or whatever you dream up!)
Donations of $, seeds, plants, trellises, pots, manure, compost, etc. always welcome!
We’re all working hard – and WE NEED YOU!
